A list of websites I found over the years with substantive materials and artifacts that could be used in gamification or engagement. Unless otherwise stated, all these are free of charge!
- InkleWriter – A tool to write your own ‘Choose Your Own Adventure Stories’. Sadly, no longer updated, it still works as of January 2020.
- TheNounProject – Get free icons for whatever, below 100px size, have them free of attribution text too! The database is ludicrously expansive. I have used them for everything from card games, to online puzzles, to simple tokens.
- Pexels – Beautiful and expansive backgrounds, with huge variety of choice.
- CoolText – Generator of cool text fonts when you just need a word and don’t need to edit later. If you cannot add fonts to your school computer, this works great there too!
- Flippity – Has dozens of Spreadsheet (Sheets) empowering templates from Wheel Spinners, to Bingo, to Escape Room Digital Locks. I love the wheel because I can put student names in and always get a volunteer.
- EdrenalineRush – Dozens of gamification templates and information.
